Shopping from local artists, hot drinks, art-making, and raku pottery firing… We’re bringing you everything you love during November’s First Saturday Local Art Market! Join us on Sat, 11/7, 10am-5pm to get your holiday shopping done when you browse the work of artist vendors outside, and the work of 70+ local artists in our collaborative gift shop. We've got classes and studio time happening throughout the day: - Kids' Clay Play, 10am-12pm - Handbuilding in the Clay Studio, 12-2pm - Pottery Wheel Throwing, 6-8pm - Half-priced Open Studio time (only $5!), 11am-1pm or 1-3pm - Wire-wrapped Jewelry, 4-6pm (Save your spot by registering ahead of time through our website!) We also hope to have volunteers helping out with your holiday wrapping by donation–more details to be released soon! Interested in volunteering? For only $10: - Pick the pre-made ceramic piece you want or bring your own bisque-fired piece - Pick your glazes - Watch us fire your piece in real time - Apply horsehair or sawdust yourself to create unpredictable, organic patterns and colors on your pottery No two raku pieces turn out the same, and they make perfect statement pieces, decor, gifts, or keepsakes from the experience itself. The raku firing process takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Plan to stay for the community experience and big reveal of your finished piece!
